Incoterms

EXW
(Ex Works)
The seller is expected to have the goods ready for collection at the agreed placeof delivery (commonly the seller's factory, mill, plant or warehouse).
The Seller is not responsible for the goods loading and customs clearance.
FOB
(Free on Board)
Once the goods have been loaded on board the vessel at the named port, risktransfers to the buyer, who bears all costs thereafter.
FCA
(Free Carrier)
The Seller arranges the delivery of the custom-cleared export goods to thecarrier, specified by the Buyer, to the named place. The loading and unloadingdepend on the place of delivery. Where the named place is the seller’s premises,then the seller is responsible for loading the goods onto the truck etc.Otherwise, the Seller is not responsible for the loading.
FSA
(Free Carrier)
The Seller arranges the delivery of the custom-cleared export goods to thecarrier, specified by the Buyer, to the named place. The loading and unloadingdepend on the place of delivery. Where the named place is the seller’s premises,then the seller is responsible for loading the goods onto the truck etc.Otherwise, the Seller is not responsible for the loading.
CIF
(Cost Insurance and Freight)
The Seller arranges the delivery of the custom-cleared export goods to thecarrier, specified by the Buyer, to the named place. The Seller also arranges andpays for insurance for the goods for carriage to the named port. Incotermsrequires a minimum level of cover. Therefore, the level of cover may beaddressed elsewhere in the additional agreement.
CFR
(Сost and Freight)
Seller arranges and pays for transport to named port. Seller delivers goods,cleared for export, loaded on board the vessel. However, risk transfers fromseller to buyer once the goods have been loaded on board, i.e. before the maincarriage takes place
CIP
(Carriage and
Insurance Paid To)
The delivery of the goods takes place, and risk transfers from seller to buyer, atthe point where the goods are taken in charge by a carrier.
CPT
(Carriage Paid To)
The seller is responsible for arranging carriage to the named place and payingcarriage charges. However, delivery of the goods takes place, and risk transfersfrom seller to buyer, at the point where the goods are taken in charge by acarrier.
DAP
(Delivered at Place)
The seller is responsible for arranging carriage and for delivering the goods,ready for unloading from the arriving means of transport, at the named place.
DAT
(Delivered at Terminal)
The seller is responsible for arranging carriage and for delivering the custom-cleared goods, unloaded from the arriving means of transport, at the namedplace.
DDP
(Delivered Duty Paid)
The seller is responsible for arranging carriage and delivering the custom-cleared goods at the named place, cleared for import and export and allapplicable taxes and duties paid (e.g. VAT, GST).
